In a world filled with challenge, let’s remember to take time to notice the sunlight warm on our face, the wind gently moving the trees, daffodils blooming, the dawn chorus … spring does follow winter.

In times of isolation, when separation and loneliness seem crushing, let’s remember to take time to notice the longing that yields a peaceful sense of belonging to a greater narrative … clear skies follow strong winds.

When the journey’s end seems elusive, let’s remember to take time to notice the mystery, the beauty, our connection with creation and with each other …
a rainbow can follow the storm.

In a world rife with prejudice, hatred, and violence, let’s remember to take time to notice those acts of kindness, compassion and forgiveness that convey hope … reaping does follow sowing.

When memories and imagination fade in the bustle of life’s pursuits, let’s remember the escape and freedom of returning home in daydreams, a good book, a chat with a friend … home does follow the heart.

With a profound certainty that this too shall give way to an ultimate, greater purpose, let’s remember to learn from our past, plan for our future, and live in the moment … life does follow loss.

With a humble and deep felt sense of gratitude for the gift and experience of life, let’s remember to give praise and thanksgiving to the Author of Creation, honoring His command to love one another as He loves us … love does follow love.
“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
John 13:34-35
